Humanity vs God

Tue Oct 14, 2008, 6:33 PM
so im waiting for the realms to be back online so i thought id talk about something i have been researching alot into over the past months, more or less to do with boredom than anything but hey its knowledge right.

as science progresses we are given ass humanity the opportunity to delve into realms that really test our limits of what should or shouldnt be done.

the first that came into this discussion was cloning, or the ability to create life based on cellular recreation of already existing life. the problem that people had wit this is the idealism were taking away the not only the individuality that life carries but were starting to play in gods existence itself. if we are able to constantly force create life by test tubes and science, procreation, the ultimate gift of humanity, would become entirely replaceable. so where do we stop cloning then, where does it being, the understanding of life is crucial to our movement forward. cloning for the use of replacing limbs or organs is understandable, it is after all a majority of mans fault that those are being hurt in the first place, so it is ideal that is ok to fix what we destroy. but look at it further, a mother wants a son in one perfect way, she wants the one pattern she believes is completely acceptable, and science could eventually take it further with the genetics of the mind taking away lets say genealogical patterns of turning out gay, or retardation, or mental illnesses. then this becomes almost a debate of genocide and oppression in and of itself. the wrong people could absolutely destroy the diversity that drives our world, and over time, we would become nothing but the man next to us. therefore cloning which gives life, i believe would ultimately take away its beauty.

another small subject of this would be what russian scientists did a few years back. giving life back to the already dead. the scientists actually found a way to recreate cells in 7 dogs that died over 30 minutes prior to the injection. if we are able to actually re-sustain life, are we then completely capable of immortality, could we stop it at that, in conjunction with cloning, would life ever cease its current rate, would we see a newer form of ourselves, or like Aeon Flux would the same existences be repeated over and over, void of real life passion and fear and emotion, tell me how its possible to live when you know its never going to end.

the final disturbance im having with us playing this god role, is the Hydron collider, aka the atom smasher. This has been a rather heated topic lately, and iv been following the subject since the first test. For those of you who dont know the collider is a giant machine which forcibly smashes particles together so fast that it creates such a powerful pool of energy. the purpose of the hydron collider is to recreate the big bang, a theoretical start to all life and existence as we know it. the concept bases itself on random energy smashing together out of a nothing existence, and eventually leading to what we see today, it was the start of everything. the problem i have personally with this is the imminent repercussions of having this amount of power in our hands. the collider has one big warning attached to it, WARNING: May Cause Black Holes, sorry but thats a BIG fukin problem. imagine it, a black hole right here where we all are, hmmmm, problem? the theory is that if this happens the black hole will become sustainable and meld down into the core of the earth where it would then destroy all life as we see today. so on that offshoot chance, what do we do, and even if we did manage to recreate the big bang...what are we gona do with it. theres limitless possbilities for something like this, alt realities, a planet within a planet, a giant restart button on life. the last one troubles me the most, becuase if that is possible, then, perhaps were not really the first to have done this, what if the giant reset button has already been pushed, and here we are in the loop (hmmmmm construct discussion anyone). it doesnt stop at the end, if it begins then, can we create planets, just a ton of them all over the universe, and then, eventually we would run out of room and probably destroy the eco system of the universe, we are so fucked its ridiculous. of course its funny youv got religious nuts all over thinking they are being attacked by this collider...sigh...who wins is beyond me

final thought: if in life we are given the opportunity to play god if even for a minute, are we capable of handeling the job, are we capable of understanding every aspect of the job, are we powerful enough to control it...just becuase you are handed the weapon, doesnt not mean you have to activate it...if we did...there would be no life left to activate anything...

In Hands

Lest we the pawns in the game of chess go too far
The board would crumble beneath the skies marked in stars

Lest we choose to meddle in gods powerful hand
In an attempt to revert the hourglass sand

Be it may that our eyes choose to point blame
And try and shirk our guilty and flee from shame

Point the blame and judge the angels high
No matter the ending we are playing in deadly skies

We choose our path we choose our fate
All in search of the truth behind a locked gate
